Civil Earthworks and Drainage
Providing civil construction support solutions to the resource sector, D&S provides high-quality personnel and equipment to deliver a diverse range of solutions to match the needs of large, medium or small scale resource projects. As D&S has done a significant amount of work in the North West, all gear is set up to mine specification.

Excavation and Underground Services
D&S offers an extensive range of services including:
• Installation of CSP culverts, box culverts and concrete floodways
• Excavation and installation of HDPE, water mains, sewer mains and GRP
• Installation of fibre optics/power cables
• General earth works and subsoil drainage

Dave founded D&S Drainage in 1993, becoming a trusted civil engineering name in Pilbara construction with over 30 years' experience delivering civil drainage and services projects. Known for raw honesty and genuine care for people, Dave brings deep knowledge and practical expertise to every job. Committed to doing things the right way, not the easy way he takes pride in looking after clients, team members, and the community whilst maintaining the highest standards of project delivery.
Campbell Dorotich
Operations Manager

Campbell delivers proven engineering expertise and operational excellence at D&S Civil. Recognised as Young Engineer of the Year in 2023 by CCF WA, he blends technical precision with confident, people‑first leadership. His systematic approach to planning, delivery, and safety drives efficiency across every project. Focused on continual improvement and client outcomes, Campbell helps uphold the company’s reputation for quality in civil earthworks and drainage.
Shannon Boyd
Business Manager
Ensuring smooth, coordinated operations across every project.

With over 20 years’ experience in business and operational management, Shannon has been a key part of the D&S team since 2013. As Business Manager, she is responsible for core business functions — finance, payroll, human resources, mobilisation, and site logistics. Known for her practical leadership and genuine commitment to people and process, Shannon brings structure and collaboration across the business, ensuring smooth operations and dependable delivery from office to site.
Brooke Luxton
Manager People and Partnerships
Championing people, partnerships, and purposeful growth throughout the business.

​​Brooke combines her know-how and expertise in Organisational Psychology and Business with over fifteen years’ experience in human resources and workplace safety. Specialising in workforce planning, organisational development, and project management, she champions mental health initiatives in mining and Indigenous advancement. Brooke leads strategic partnerships and community engagement that create meaningful impact whilst driving people-focused initiatives across D&S Civil.
Travis Maloney Supervisor
Travis worked for D&S in the early years in the Pilbara and very quickly moved up the ranks to a supervisor. Spending some time working in Perth with his own contracting company, Travis was in high demand as a well renowned drainer who works with speed and accuracy. Travis joined the D&S team again in 2019 and is a huge asset to the company.
Kyle Beresford Supervisor
Kyle started with D&S Civil at Gudai-Darri Rail Formation and has been an integral part of the team since day one. Having a background in both concrete finishing and final trim operating for civil projects, Kyle is able to provide guidance and knowledge to the workforce to ensure a safe and high-quality outcome is achieved on his jobs. Kyle’s calm and polite nature makes him a pleasure to work with, and his attention to detail is second to none.
Matthew Phyland Supervisor
Matt started with D&S Civil at the Gudai-Darri Rail Formation project and worked his way through the ranks to Leading Hand and then Supervisor in a short space of time. Having being a dogman, rigger and trade assistant, Matt has a robust background in civil construction. Matt excels in overseeing quality control and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity onsite. Matt is brilliant at delivering projects to client's standards, always willing to go the extra mile.
Robert Ahern Supervisor
Rob worked for D&S in the early years in the Pilbara and was highly respected as a talented machine operator. After taking some timeout to become a professional Sky-Diver, Rob returned to his roots at D&S as an operator, working his way up to Leading Hand and then Supervisor. Rob has a calm nature and relaxed approach that allows him to analyse problems clearly and provide solutions in a high stress environment. Rob is well respected by the crew and clients and always has a positive impact on the projects.
